Ansonia High School cheerleaders invite any child in kindergarten through eighth grade to come cheer alongside them and perform during halftime at a high school varsity football game Oct. 2.
COME AND JOIN THE FUN!
Registration will be Sept. 22 at the high school (20 Pulaski Highway) from 6 to 9 p.m.
Each child must register in order to participate. A permission form (see below) must be completed and registration fee must be paid.
Cost: $20 per child. No refunds.
Children will receive a shirt and hair ribbon to wear to the game.
Checks should be made out to AHS Cheerleaders.
Practice Information
Practices are scheduled for Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Ansonia High School.
All participants will need to attend both practice nights so they can learn the halftime routine and cheers for the sidelines.
Please arrive and check in by 5:45 p.m. so we can begin practice on time. Each participant must be signed in and out of practices by a parent/guardian.
Please wear appropriate practice clothes (t‑shirt, shorts and sneakers). All participants should bring a water bottle marked with their name.
Game Information
Participants should arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. at Nolan Field Oct. 2. Check-in will be at the field house.
Each child must be signed in and out of the game by a parent/guardian. No child will be permitted on the sidelines or allowed to leave until a parent/guardian has signed them in and out with a member of the AHS Cheer Coaching staff.
Participants will need to wear:
- Black pants — sweat pants, yoga pants, leggings are acceptable
- T‑shirt which will be given to them on the last night of practice; a long-sleeve white shirt may be worn underneath the T‑shirt
- Athletic sneakers
- Hair should be up in a ponytail away from face with hair ribbon.
Al participants should bring a water bottle marked with their name.
