Ansonia Police Raid Yields Crack, Cash And Heroin

Ansonia police raided a residence on North State Street Tuesday and allegedly found crack cocaine and heroin packaged for sale.

The drugs were found in Edmundo Coriano’s bedroom, according to a prepared statement from police.

Coriano is charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, two counts of possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school and two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school.

Police said they found about 12 grams of crack and heroin in the residence, along with about $1,100 cash.

Coriano posted bond and is due back in court Dec. 11.

Police had obtained a search warrant in order to raid the residence.
