Baby Born In Ansonia Ambulance

A healthy baby girl was delivered in an Ansonia ambulance Sunday.

According to a Facebook post by Ansonia Rescue and Medical Services, the girl was born at 2:21 p.m.

This afternoon, ARMS was dispatched for the reported active childbirth. Crews responded to find the patient having contractions just minutes apart,” the post read. Crews quickly and safely transferred Mom to the ambulance and as we were about to depart for the hospital, the little baby had other plans.”

The Facebook post did not include the location of the call.

ARMS credited the Bravo 9 ambulance crew and medics from Valley Emergency Medical services for a truly outstanding job” delivering the baby. 

Amidst all of the heartbreak and sickness we see, today was a great one that will not soon be forgotten,” the post said. We are so happy that Mom and baby are doing well.”
