Body Found In Osborndale State Park In Derby

The body of a 54-year-old man was found Monday on the grounds of Osborndale State Park.

The man’s name was not released.

The medical examiner has not issued a cause or manner of death, but it appeared to be a suicide.

The body was found by a hiker in the park about 11 a.m.

The entrance to Osborndale is on Chatfield Street across from the Derby high school and middle school campus.

Authorities briefly closed the park’s entrance to remove the body.

EnCon Police are in charge of the investigation into the man’s death.
