Case Continued In Ansonia Baby’s Death

The West Haven man accused of causing the death of a 5‑month-old Ansonia boy appeared briefly at Superior Court in Milford Thursday (Jan. 5).

No action was taken during the appearance the case for Angel Luis Santiago was continued to Feb. 15. 

Santiago, 35, was charged with first-degree manslaughter, first-degree assault and first-degree risk of injury to a child after 5‑month-old Kyle Robinson’s death.

According to an arrest warrant used to charge Santiago, Kyle died from blunt force trauma. The death was ruled a homicide. 

Doctors quoted in the arrest warrant said Kyle’s injuries were indicative of severe trauma,” and violent shaking.” Click here for a previous article outlining the charges against Santiago. 

Santiago, in an interview with WFSB, denied hurting the child. 

Santiago was arrested in December and has not entered a plea yet for the charges.
