‘Concert For A Cause’ To Benefit Seymour Family

The upcoming Concert for a Cause,” will benefit a family that needs help in Seymour.

On June 22, Mark Condo, an avid volunteer in the Seymour community, youth sports coach and board member with the Seymour Little League and Seymour Tradition travel softball died at the age of 45.

Mark left behind a wife, and two children. Mark’s wife suffers from some medical issues of her own, including Lupus.

Because of that she hasn’t been able to work in many years.

Mark was the sole provider for the family.

Unfortunately, when Mark passed away, he didn’t have any life insurance.

Smoke in the Valley Presents: Concert for a Cause,” will help the Condo family.

The concert will be Friday, Oct. 3, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the grounds of the Seymour Community Center at 20 Pine St.

Tickets for the evening event are $20, free for children under 12.

Once inside you can purchase some amazing food and scrumptious treats from one of the 15 food trucks on site, and then sit back on your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy live music on the main stage from three bands featuring Bobby Paltauf, The Alpaca Gnomes, and the nights headliner David Foster and The Mohegan Sun (aka Shaboo) All-Stars,” according to a press release.

Sitting in as part of the 11 piece band that makes up the Mohegan Sun All Stars will be legendary blues musician, James Montgomery and another Music Legend Keyboardist Mike Finnegan.”

Also on site for the weekend will be the folks from Project 650, please stop by the tent with the team from Project 650. Project 650 was created to find 650 people to donate $100 to help pay off the remaining $65,000 balance on the Condo’s home.

The Concert for a Cause kicks off two days of amazing events in Seymour, all for charitable causes.

Oct. 4 is the Third Annual Pounding the Pavement for Pink 5k, and Kid’s Fun Run. The Fourth Annual Smoke in the Valley, a craft beer, chili and music festival, is the same day.
