Seymour High School is pleased to announce that two juniors, Justin Fabozzi and Julia Pietruszka, have met the requirements to enter the 2016 National Merit Scholarship program.
“These high performers have shown outstanding academic potential,” Kimberly C. Greiner, the director of scholarship administration, said in a notification sent to the school.
Of the 1.5 million program entrants who took the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, Fabozzi and Pietruszka are among the 50,000 highest-scoring participants nationwide.
In September both high-achievers will learn whether they are semifinalists or commended students.
