Derby Mayor Says We’re Closing Early

Derby City Hall released a statement Wednesday saying parts of city government would be shutting down early than normal Wednesday because of a winter storm heading into the region.

Here is the release:

Mayor (Anita) Dugatto has ordered Derby City Hall, Derby Public Library and the Derby Senior Center closed at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday November 26, 2014 due to the anticipated inclement weather.

She has taken this action after Governor Malloy’s decision to close State Offices at the same time.

The City of Derby encourages everyone to stay off of the roads tomorrow in order to remain safe during the storm.

We also wish you a happy and safe Thanksgiving weekend, best wishes to all the runners in the Commodore Hull Road Race and auspicious thoughts for a much anticipated Derby High School victory over Shelton on Thursday.”
