Derby police are investigating a report of shots fired near Park Avenue and E Street.
There are no reported injuries.
Three shots were heard by neighbors in the area at about 10:30 p.m.
A Derby patrol car traveling on Route 34/Roosevelt Drive was in the area in about a minute.
E Street is off Route 34/Roosevelt Drive in west Derby.
Officers with flashlights were looking on the ground along E Street and Grove Avenue at about 10:45 p.m.
There appeared to be no immediate threat to the neighborhood.
As of 11 p.m. police had found no evidence that the bullets had actually hit anything, including houses or cars parked on the street.
