Derby Schools Superintendent Matthew Conway will give a “state of the district” address to the public on Thursday, Jan. 29.
The district will also use the date to cut the ribbon on a new, expanded preschool opening within a section of the Derby High School building.
A reception is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.
The district address is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The event is at Derby High School, 8 Nutmeg Ave. in Derby.
The high school once housed Derby Middle School, until a new middle school was built across the street. The preschool is in a section of the school separate from the main part of the high school.
