‘Four Chaplains’ To Be Remembered

American Legion Emil Senger Post 10 and Catholic War Veterans St. Michael Post 1562 are honoring the Four Chaplains” of the U.S. Army Transport Dorchester, a transport ship that was torpedoed by a German U‑boat in 1943.

The four chaplains comforted, inspired and guided the men as the ship sank.

The service will be at St Michael’s Church, 75 Derby Ave. in Derby.

Refreshments will be served afterward at the C.W.V. hall (across the street from the church parking lot).
