Free Lessons Available From Literacy Volunteers

The Valley Program of Literacy Volunteers offers Free tutoring for ADULT students in need of improving their reading, writing and speaking English skills either in Basic Literacy or English as a Second Language.

People in the towns of Shelton, Derby, Ansonia and Seymour may know someone who they care about, that can use or want our services.

People can give them our contact information and/or assist them so they can contact us to register for FREE tutoring services in the Valley.

They may be their neighbors, friends, adult children of friends, sisters, brothers, cousins, parents, casual acquaintances, in their church, organizations, etc.

Adult students are offered two hours per week of tutoring with a Trained Tutor based on their reading level.

Adult Students are registered and assessed by meeting with the Program Manager for the Valley, Kathi Hunt. They meet with a Tutor they are matched with at a local Library site or other partner local site.

To register for this tutoring opportunity, please call or email us at [email protected] or call 203 924 6651 ×102 and ask for Kathi Hunt.
