State Rep. Linda Gentile (D‑104) along with Speaker of the House Joe Aresimowicz and House Majority Leader Matt Ritter co-introduced a package of 10 bills focused on encouraging job growth and economic development.
The bills were filed by Aresimowicz and Ritter last Friday.
“As I campaigned across my district and in all my travels attending events throughout the state, I have heard over and over again three main issues from three main constituencies,” Gentile said. “Overwhelmingly, seniors and retirees want affordable living, families want to keep their children here after they graduate from school and businesses want to grow jobs and enjoy economic expansion and stability. All of these bills help to achieve those goals. They are all focused on making Connecticut better.”
The legislative package has widespread support among the House Majority caucus and is expected to also garner bipartisan backing as the proposals are developed further by the joint House-Senate committees.
