Goodbye, Ghost Hunters

Ghost Hunters,” a SyFy channel reality show watched by 2.2 million people a week, wrapped up filming in Derby Friday afternoon with their reveal” inside the Sterling Opera House.

That’s the part of the show where the paranormal investigators give their report on what they’ve found.

So, is the Sterling Opera House haunted?

You’ll have to watch the show,” said Rich DiCarlo, the man responsible for convincing Ghost Hunters” to set up shop in Derby this week. DiCarlo is the chairman of the city’s Cultural Arts Commission. The show may air sometime in April.

The Ghost” crew filmed what looked like a final walkout from the Opera House at about 2:30 p.m. Friday. A random guy driving a SUV blew his horn loudly while four cameras shot the TAPS” truck.

Such is life in the city.

A smiling Mayor Anthony Staffieri was also inside the Sterling Opera House Friday, prompting the Valley Indy to play TMZ.”

Us: Hey Mayor, do those ghosts pay taxes?”

Mayor Staffieri: I dunno, I hear they’re deadbeats!”
