Griffin Hospital Sponsors Valley Indy Webcast

The Valley Independent Sentinel is pleased to announce Griffin Hospital as the official sponsor of the 2016 Valley Indy Great Give Webcast.”

The Valley Indy’s two reporters are scheduled to host a marathon video webcast on ValleyIndy.org from 8 a.m. May 3 until 8 p.m. May 4.

The webcast will raise awareness of The Great Give,” an online giving event” during which people can donate to hundreds of vetted nonprofit groups in the Valley and greater New Haven.

Starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, the Valley Indy will conduct interviews of with some 20 local nonprofit leaders for about 30 minutes each. The interviews will be streamed live on ValleyIndy.org from the Valley Indy’s office on Main Street in Ansonia.

Viewers will learn what the nonprofit does in the Valley — and how the public can help.

Griffin Hospital is pleased to support this community-wide effort, which provides an opportunity for our non-profit organizations to showcase the good they do, and invites the greater Valley community to support and be part of those good works,” said Griffin Hospital Director of Communications Ken Roberts.

The complete ValleyIndy.org webcast interview schedule is published at the bottom of this post.

The Valley Indy, itself a nonprofit entity, will use The Great Give as its annual reader drive. Click here to make a donation to the Valley Indy during The Great Give.

We’ve been participating in The Great Give since 2013,” said Valley Indy editor Eugene Driscoll. In addition to being a much-needed shot in the arm for our finances, The Great Give is truly a unique community-building event. I encourage everyone to go to ValleyIndy.org on May 3 and May 4 to learn about the incredible dedication of local nonprofit organizations.”

The Great Give is presented by GiveGreater.org, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, The Valley Community Foundation and Give Local America.

ValleyIndy.org launched in 2009 thanks to a partnership between The Valley Community Foundation, The Knight Foundation, and the Online Journalism Project of New Haven. Additional annual sponsors include the Katharine Matthies Foundation.
