Heroin, Opioid Awareness Conference In Waterbury

On Sept. 21, 2016, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, in partnership with the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration and City of Waterbury, is hosting a Heroin and Opioid Awareness Conference” for parents and educators.

It will take place in Kennedy High School, 422 Highland Ave. in Waterbury. The event starts at 5 p.m. and is expected to end at 8 p.m.

Medical and mental health experts and law enforcement members will explain how drug addiction works and how to identify certain drugs. Families of overdose victims will share their experiences and thoughts on the opioid epidemic.
