I Needed Milk!

Leave it to me to let my cabinets run dry on the day before a hurricane.

So after work Thursday, I dragged myself to the Shelton Stop & Shop, bracing for long lines, empty bread shelves and a generally bad experience.

But other than a small traffic jam in the bread aisle, the shopping experience was no different than any other week night at 6:30.

(Click play on the video to see a portion of the trip, played in super-fast motion to banjo music.)

I didn’t have to park a mile away. I didn’t have to push my way through carts to get a carton of milk. I didn’t wait in line.

My assessment: Either people aren’t that afraid of this hurricane, or the grocery stores will be packed tomorrow afternoon.
