Lauretti Declares Snow Emergency, Encourages Off-Street Parkin ‘If Available’ In Shelton

Shelton Police announced Monday (Jan. 26) morning that Mayor Mark Lauretti has declared a snow emergency” due to the impending snowstorm.

The City encourages off street parking if available, otherwise from 12:01 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., alternate side of the street parking is required,” an announcement on the city’s website said. That means on odd-numbered days, parking shall be permitted on the odd-numbered side of the street; on even-numbered days, parking shall be permitted on the even-numbered side of the street.”

Police also asked that residents stay off the roads and stay indoors for the duration of the storm.”

In addition, the city announced that there will be no garbage pickup Tuesday, Jan. 27.
