A 23-year-old man was arrested on drug charges Friday morning after he was allegedly spotted sleeping in a car near the Prendergast School in Ansonia.
A resident sent a message to the Valley Indy saying two men were seen sleeping by parents waiting to drop their kids off at the school. They called police.
Officers located a car on Prindle Avenue about 8:30 a.m. One man was cited for not having insurance, while another, Titus Ross of Watertown, faces a number of drug charges, including:
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance
- Two counts of possession of narcotics
- Possession within 1,500 feet of a school
He was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond. Court information and the type of drug he allegedly had in his possession were not available.
