The State of Connecticut has scheduled a public informational meeting regarding the pending project for the reclaiming and reconstruction of Rimmon Street in Seymour on Monday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Norma Drummer Room in Seymour Town Hall, which is located at 1 First St.
In case of inclement weather the meeting will be rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the same time and location.
At the meeting the tentative design and timeline for the project will be discussed. Also, the Town Engineer and consulting project engineer will be there to answer any questions from the public.
We were recently informed that the State has delayed the projected timeline for the project and bidding for contractors is now not set to begin until the fall of 2015.
