Milford Man Charged With Stalking Waitress In Shelton

Shelton police charged a Milford man with stalking an 18-year-old waitress at a River Road restaurant in March.

The man, Kim Lariccia, 57, with third-degree stalking, second-degree breach of peace, and interfering with an officer.

The charges are misdemeanors. Lariccia, who police said works as a youth hockey coach, posted a $15,000 bond after cops served him with the warrant May 4 and is scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Derby May 18.

In a prepared statement, Shelton Detective Richard Bango said police received a complaint March 21 alleging that the man had gone into the eatery and obsessively watched” the waitress for about four hours.

At one point, Lariccia passed a note to the female asking if she wanted to go for a ride and later followed her on River Road after she completed her shift,” Bango’s statement said.

The woman called her boyfriend, who met her at a local parking lot, after which Lariccia fled the area, police said.

But he allegedly returned to the restaurant the next day and again continually watched the female.”

Lariccia left the restaurant eventually, but the woman was able to obtain his license plate, and gave it to police.
