A 21-year-old man from Naugatuck died in a crash in Shelton early Sunday.
According to a statement from police, Alexandre Grosso was heading north on Howe Avenue near Housatonic Rise when he crashed into a tree and then a utility pole.
The vehicle rolled over, according to a post on the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Facebook page.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. and there was only one vehicle involved.
“The Shelton Police Traffic Division Reconstruction Team is currently investigating this accident,” according to Detective Richard Bango.
