Last week’s Great Give raised about $1.4 million for area nonprofits, according to a press release from The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.
That’s a record for the most money raised locally.
The Valley Indy raised about $10,000 from readers.
In this episode of “Valley Navel Gazing,” Valley Indy reporter Eugene Driscoll talks endlessly about the Valley Indy’s marathon streaming video webcast during the Great Give, during which about 20 nonprofit leaders made appearances.
Driscoll is joined by 17-year-old Marco Rumbin of Seymour, who is interning for the Valley Indy.
The Great Give started on Marco’s second day, and he helped the Valley Indy greet people, take photographs and relay photographs.
