Oxford Girl Scouts Build Confidence and Teamwork

On Sunday, Feb. 13, Oxford Girl Scout Lego Teams, The 7 Awesome Engineers and The Brownie Builders attended the 4th Annual Jr First Lego League Expo in Stamford.

The girls competed with 30 other Junior FFL teams from all over the state of Connecticut on the topic of Biomedical Engineering.

The goal of the Jr First Lego League is to introduce the children from age 6 – 9 to science and technology while learning to work as a team. Over a course of several weeks, the girls had to research, plan and create a Legos model based on this year’s theme.
