Oxford Seeks Volunteers For Annual Cleanup

Every year the Town of Oxford performs a town-wide clean up in the month of April.

Basically it consists of either residents cleaning up around their own property and/or groups such as the football team and Girl Scouts who get involved and pick an area or street.

This is to encourage the younger folks to not litter as well.

The month of April also coincides with Earth Day which is April 22.

The Oxford Public works department will be open an hour later on the last two Saturdays of April.

For help or information, contact Denise Randall at 203 – 828-6507 or [email protected].

A pledge form is posted below which also encourages safety precautions: wear brightly colored clothing, long sleeve shirts and pants tucked in. Also sunblock, eyewear, gloves and bug repellent.
