Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Shelton

A 32-year-old Naugatuck woman was injured seriously Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle on Howe Avenue.

In a prepared statement, Detective Christopher Nugent said several people called 911 to report the collision about 9:30 p.m. in the area of 441 Howe Ave., near the Derby-Shelton Bridge.

EMS, Shelton Fire, and Shelton Police responded to the scene, where a female identified as Lisa Taylor, age 32, of Naugatuck, was reportedly struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Howe Avenue,” Nugent said.

Taylor was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious injuries, Nugent said.

The Shelton Police Department Accident reconstruction team responded to the scene and are currently investigating the accident. 

Police asked any witnesses or individuals with information regarding the accident to contact the Shelton Police Department Traffic Division at (203) 924‑1544 Ext. 4420.
