PHOTOS: SHELTON WINS STATE BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The Shelton Gaels dominated South Windsor Saturday to win the class LL state baseball championship 7 – 2.

It’s Shelton’s first state title since 1976.

They proved today that they’re the best team in the state of Connecticut,” Shelton Coach Scott Gura told the New Haven Register.

Junior Ryan Testani gave a Herculean performance for Shelton, scattering two hits — a leadoff infield single and a sixth-inning blooper over short — while striking out nine and walking two,” according to the CT Post.
