The City of Ansonia, under the direction of Mayor Cassetti and in partnership with the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, is evaluating the possibility of implementing Village District zoning under Chapter 124 8 – 2j of the Connecticut General Statutes.
A public forum for residents to weigh in is scheduled in the Aldermanic Chambers of City Hall, 253 Main St., Monday (April 18) from 6 to 8 p.m.
This study will also evaluate the redevelopment potential of two buildings within the Study Area, the Ansonia Armory and 501 East Main Street.
This study is funded by a Vibrant Communities Initiative Grant from the Connecticut Trust.
Come discuss draft design guidelines for the proposed Village District and evaluate possible redevelopment scenarios for the Armory and 501 East Main Street!
