‘Rock The Valley’ Is Saturday In Ansonia

The Cast of Beatlemania” is headlining the third annual Rock the Valley” Saturday at Nolan Field in Ansonia.

The all-day music festival is from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and features vendors of all kind. Click here for the event’s Facebook page.

Admission is free — but donations are being accepted to benefit Valley Save Our Youth,” a local charity.

This can take the form of donated supplies, such as backpacks, school supplies or clothing,” Mayor David Cassetti said in a written statement.

Rock the Valley is sponsored by the Farrel-Pomini Corporation, an international manufacturing firm that just relocated to the top of Ansonia’s Fountain Lake industrial park, overlooking Wakelee Avenue.

Nolan Field is at 144 Wakelee Ave.

Rock the Valley” features six bands — topped off by fireworks (sponsored by Stop & Shop) at 9:30 p.m.

In addition to food and vendors, there is a kids’ area — and a dunk tank where you can submerge Mayor Cassetti!

This year there’s also a beer garden for the adults.

The Cast of Beatlemania, by the way, is one of the longest-running Beatle tribute bands on the planet.

Its performers includes one of the cast members from Beatlemania,” the 1977 Broadway musical.

Parking is free, by the way!

If the spots at Nolan Field are full, park at Tri-Town Plaza (the former Ames shopping center). It’s about a half-mile up the road.

The rain date for the festival is Aug. 21.
