Derby residents are invited to a “community voices workshop” Wednesday as the city works with a firm to develop a new plan for the city’s downtown redevelopment zone.
The forum is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in The Ballroom at 33 Elizabeth St.
Leslie Creane, Derby Mayor Anita Dugatto’s chief of staff, appeared on “Navel Gazing,” the Valley Indy podcast to talk about Wednesday’s forum.

The City of Derby is working with DPZ Partners, a national firm, to create a workable plan for the redevelopment zone. The city is using money from a $445,000 grant.
A “community charrette” to help formulate the new redevelopment zone plan is scheduled for Nov. 14 to Nov. 18.
