Second Suspect Charged In Shelton Home Invasion

Shelton police announced a second suspect has been charged in a January Quaker Ridge Road home invasion.

The suspect, 32-year-old Oscar Rosado, was arrested about 11 p.m. Wednesday by Bridgeport police and turned over to Shelton cops, who held a warrant to charge him with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, second-degree unlawful restraint, and conspiracy to commit unlawful restraint.

Police held Rosado on $250,000 bond for arraignment at Superior Court in Derby.

He also faces failure to appear charges in five 2016 larceny cases out of Stratford.

Updated court information was unavailable Thursday.

Rosado is the second suspect to face charges in the case. Police arreste another Bridgeport resident, Francisco Colon-Cotto, 22, last week.

The pair allegedly robbed a Quaker Ridge Road home in January of valuables after threatening the man who lived there with a screwdriver.

The investigation took an unusual turn when the homeowner was charged with growing marijuana.

Police said last week they’re still piecing together the details.

An arrest warrant for Colon-Cotto said detectives linked him to the robbery through DNA evidence.
