The hit musical “Hamilton” has renewed interest in America’s Founding Fathers.
Now you can learn more about this remarkable group of men at the Seymour Historical Society on Sunday, April 22, at 2 p.m.
The program will be presented by Stephen Spignesi, a practitioner in residence at the University of New Haven and author of nearly 70 books, including “499 Facts About Hip-Hop Hamilton and the Rest of the Founding Fathers.”
In his presentation, Spignesi will reveal fascinating information about the lives of the infamous Alexander Hamilton and a dozen other revolutionary figures. He’ll also play several songs from the “Hamilton” soundtrack, and discuss the significance of the lyrics.
The Seymour Historical Society is located at 59 West Street, near the Trinity Episcopal Church. Admission is free for members and $5 for non-members.
