Seymour —The town is organizing its first Founders’ Day event for this June.
The Founders’ Day Association is seeking volunteers and interested vendors to participate.
Founders’ Day will include historical activities, vendors, food, shopping, a car exhibit organized by the Lions Club, and other entertainment.
The Strand Theater will also show films about Valley history.
All proceeds will be donated to the Seymour Historical Society.
“It will be a day of community pride, entertainment and family fun for all its residents and neighboring communities,” the historical society wrote on its Web site. “Showcasing the Town of Seymour, its citizens and its rich history can only help further Seymour’s Economic Development.”
Contact Kim Osgood, volunteer coordinator for Founder’s Day at (203) 888-7880 or (203) 231-6129 or by e-mailing kimberlyosgood@sbcglobal.net for more information.
