Shelton Cafeteria Worker’s Husband Asks For Community Support

My wife has been a school café server since 2004. Every day she heads off to work with a smile because she absolutely loves her job, mostly she loves the children that she serves each day.

Unfortunately, all of the cafeteria workers are facing tough contract negotiations with Whitsons, the company which won the bid for the lunch program. They still have no contract.

My wife’s job as well as her coworkers is so very important to them, they find it difficult to accept cuts to their wages and benefits. These jobs help support Shelton families!

I am asking for support from the community to stand behind these women and to ensure our children will continue to have the cafeteria workers that they know and love serve them each day.
