Shelton police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who tried to break into a home in Huntington.
The break-in try occurred about 1:15 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 10), police said in a prepared statement.
“The suspect attempted to enter the residence, however did not gain access,” Detective Chris Nugent said in the statement. “The suspect then entered the victim’s car in the driveway, which rolled across the yard into the woods. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.”
The victim contacted police the next day after reviewing surveillance footage which captured the suspect.
Police asked anyone with information can contact the Shelton Police Department Detective Bureau at (203) 924‑1544.
“Residents are reminded to lock their residences, vehicles, and exterior sheds on their property,” Nugent’s statement said.
