Shelton police are asking for help identifying suspects in two recent smash and grab burglaries.
Break-ins were reported early Sunday (Nov. 27) at Linda’s Liquors, 350 Bridgeport Ave., and about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 30) at the Hair Do Salon, 821 Bridgeport Ave., Detective Richard Bango said in a prepared statement.
Surveillance footage from the salon showed a heavyset white man with a beard smash the window with a crow bar, then taking money from the register.
The liquor store had been burglarized in the same manner, cops said.
“If anyone recognizes the man in the attached photograph, they are encouraged contact the Shelton Police Department at 203 – 924-1544,” Bango said. “All calls will be kept confidential.”
