Shelton Lawyer Charged With Sexual Assault

Shelton police charged a local lawyer Tuesday with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy.

Peter Kruzynski, 49, is due in court today to be arraigned on charges of first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

The arrest stems from a complaint taken from a juvenile victim who stated he was sexually assaulted by Kruzynski when he was 12 years old,” Detective Richard Bango said in a prepared statement.

The juvenile victim stated that Kruzynski took nude photographs of him then coerced him to continue having sex with him for years or he would post the photos on the internet,” Bango said. The juvenile victim also stated Kruzynski used his status as an attorney to coerce the victim to continue having sex.”

Police did not release further details.

Bango said Kruzynski was released after posted a $75,000 bond and will be arraigned at Superior Court in Derby Wednesday (Aug. 31).

Kruzynski has been a lawyer in Connecticut since 1994, according to the Judicial Branch website, and has no public record of discipline. His practice is located at 476 Howe Ave.
