Shelton Man Robbed At Gunpoint

Shelton police are searching for a gold Honda Odyssey involved in a stickup Wednesday afternoon.

In a prepared statement, Detective Christopher Nugent said a man at the Avalon condominiums at 915 Bridgeport Ave. called police about 1 p.m. saying he had just been robbed at gunpoint.

The victim reported that he was followed from a Bridgeport business to his residence by a gold Honda Odyssey,” Nugent said. The victim reported that upon exiting his vehicle a Hispanic male jumped out of the rear of the minivan with a handgun demanding the victim’s money.”

Nugent said the man turned over an unspecified amount of money to the suspects, after which they fled.
