Shelton Police Charge Woman With Stealing Gun

Shelton police have charged a New Haven woman with stealing a gun from a car in November.

The gun was reported stolen from a locked motor vehicle in the downtown area, Detective Christopher Nugent said in a prepared statement.

Nugent said police were able to link 24-year-old Shelly Inthisone to the stolen firearm, after which they obtained a warrant charging her with theft of a firearm.

Police picked up Inthisone at Superior Court in Bridgeport Friday, Nugent said.

She was held in lieu of $50,000 bond to be arraigned at Superior Court in Derby Monday.
