Shelton Police: Prostitute, Client Met At Hotel

Shelton police arrested a Bridgeport woman and Beacon Falls man on prostitution-related charges at a hotel Monday.

In a prepared statement, Detective Richard Bango said the hotel manager called police to report heavy foot traffic in and out of a specific room on the third floor.”

The statement did not name the specific hotel to which police were called.

The manager stated most of the visitors to the room were men,” Bango said.

Officers went to the room and found Lesley Michelle Reyes, 20, and 51-year-old Albert Beckwith, of Beacon Falls.

The ensuing investigation revealed Beckwith solicited Reyes for sex on the Internet for a predetermined price and later met at the hotel,” Bango said.

Reyes was charged with prostitution. Beckwith was charged with patronizing a prostitute. The charges are Class A misdemeanors.

Both Reyes and Beckwith were released after posting $1,000 bonds and are scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Derby Jan. 3, 2017.
