Shelton Police Seek Identity Of Larceny Suspects

Shelton police asked for the public’s help identifying two larceny suspects.

According to a prepared statement from Detective Christopher Nugent, the photos depict two people captured on surveillance cameras trying to use a stolen credit card at a store in Bridgeport.

Nugent said the theft occurred Jan. 8, when police received a complaint from a woman who had parked her vehicle at St. Lawrence Church on Shelton Avenue.

The complainant reported that while away from her vehicle someone entered her vehicle and stole her pocketbook from inside her vehicle,” Nugent said. Surveillance footage captured the individual pulling into the church parking lot and then breaking into the vehicle and removing the purse.”

Nugent asked that anyone who can identify the suspects to call detectives at 203 – 924-1544.

All calls will be kept confidential,” Nugent said.
