Ansonia police asked business owners to check and update surveillance cameras after an overnight burglary Wednesday on Main Street.
Officers were sent to the Ansonia Smoke & Convenience store at 262 Main St. in the early morning hours to respond to an alarm.
In an email to business owners in the city, police said a suspect or suspects smashed the business’ front door, then went inside and stole cash.
Police said “possible suspect(s) descriptions are of 3 males possibly operating a dark colored sedan.”
Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the police department. The phone number is 203 – 735-1885.
“We are reminding everyone to check and update their camera systems and ensure the contact information for your business is up to date as well,” police said.
