On Thursday, Nov. 27, the annual Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5k Road Race will take place in Shelton and Derby.
Due to the weather forecast the route has been altered.

The alternative race route will utilize Canal Street (from Wharf Street to Bridge Street) to the Derby Shelton Bridge.
Runners will be directed to a running lane on Bridge Street (from Canal Street to the Bridge Street), then transition over to the sidewalk on the Bridge Street Bridge to Derby.
Runners will then be directed to the Derby Riverwalk/Greenway where they will continue the race, then return back to the finish line using the same route.
At no time will runners be allowed to use any state highways due to the expected snow.
The race will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and conclude at approximately 9:15 a.m.
Canal Street (from Wharf Street to Bridge Street) will be closed for parking from 6:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.
