Stanek Thanks Imetovski For First Selectman Campaign

Although the Democratic Candidate for First Selectman in Seymour, Zani Imetovski, did not win the election on Nov. 3, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Zani for stepping forward to lead the Democratic slate of candidates this fall.

Zani Imetovski worked tirelessly since July knocking on voters’ doors to discuss the issues and to attempt to convince voters why he should be elected First Selectman.

Zani Imetovski is a remarkable young man who has displayed a desire for many years to be involved in the governmental process and through that process, to help people. I am very proud that the Seymour Public Schools has educated such a fine individual who has a desire to serve the people of the Town of Seymour and to help his community.

Zani’s experience as President of the Student Government at the University of New Haven, his work with United States Senator Richard Blumenthal, his position as a legislative aide with the Connecticut General Assembly and his latest endeavor to seek the office of First Selectman illustrate the qualities of a fine member of our community.

The people of Seymour are truly fortunate that we are witnessing the development of Zani Imetowski who will truly be a future leader in the Town of Seymour!

The writer is a Democrat who lives in Seymour.
