State Sen. Kevin Kelly on Monday sent the following info about road work on Route 34.
The Department of Transportation announced there will be nighttime bridge maintenance on Route 34 (Roosevelt Drive).
Construction will begin Monday, October 24 and will conclude Saturday, October 29. Work is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Friday through Saturday.
LANE CLOSURE INFORMATION
Motorist can expect closures on Route 34 (Roosevelt Drive) at the Stevenson Dam Bridge, both directions. Detoured traffic will follow Route 34 to Bridge Street to Route 110 (Shelton Road), and then onto Route 111 (Monroe Turnpike) – motorists will then be directed back onto Route 34.
Local Police and detour signs will guide motorist through the detour. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
