The Hope For The Warriors 8th Annual Sunset Run For The Warriors will take place Sunday, August 20, featuring a 10K, 5K, 1‑Mile Walk/Run, and Kids Race.
All proceeds benefit Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, family, and hope to service members, their families, and families of the fallen.
Run For The Warriors is a race series open to civilians and military members, that honors the men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan and celebrates their strength and resolve. The series also provides wounded service members encouragement and the opportunity to pursue the sport of running, walking or cycling to assist in physical and emotional rehabilitation.
Opening ceremonies begin 4:30 p.m. August 20, 2017 at the Huntington Green, 19 Church St.. Races begin at 5 p.m.
Registration is free for Gold Star Families and wounded service members and there is a discount for veterans, active-duty military members and students. Please email [email protected] for your discount code.
