Theresa Conroy Endorsed By CT AFL-CIO

The Connecticut AFL-CIO has endorsed Theresa Conroy for State Representative in the 105th Assembly District which includes the towns of Seymour, Beacon Falls and Derby.

Conroy has been instrumental in creating legislation that represents the interests of the working people. This session, she focused her efforts on supporting small businesses, job creation and public health

Specifically, Conroy supported legislation regarding fair chance employment, the entrepreneur’s learners permit program, and limiting opioid prescriptions to a seven-day supply.

Conroy additionally recognizes how important manufacturing is in Connecticut and has voted in favor of the Sikorsky deal, which will keep the Sikorsky headquarters in Connecticut until 2032. This manufacturing company, along with the arrival of the Henkel Corporation, will create thousands of jobs in Connecticut for years to come.

It has always been my mission to fight for social and economic justice for the middle class and I will continue to fight for their interest in the future,” Conroy said.

Conroy fought to restore cuts to hospitals, including the $3.5 million to Griffin Hospital in Derby. This restoration of money was desperately needed for the hospital to provide affordable, quality care to patients.

Conroy is currently a member of the Legislative s Public Health, Planning & Development, and Veterans Committee.
