If you can read this you can tutor adult students who want to improve their English skills! 

Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven’s Valley Program is looking for adults interested in tutoring other adults in English. No formal teaching experience needed.

Potential tutors learn how to help enrich the life of a local adult. Free tutoring is offered to adult students in need of improving Basic Literacy BL or for ESL English as a Second Language. 

Tutors are asked for a commitment of two hours per week and will receive initial training and quarterly workshops. The next Tutor Training begins February 2017.

Free tutoring is offered to adult students who are in need of improving their reading, writing, or English speaking skills through two programs: Basic Literacy and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
