This is the third violent act in the neighborhood in about a month.
On May 19, a 19-year-old man was stabbed several times in an alley turning a large get together on Hawkins. The victim lived.
A few hours after the incident, someone shot up a house close to the stabbing scene.
The May crime happened on Hawkins near Cottage Street, which isn’t far from the site of Sunday’s shooting.
This street, obviously has attracted an undesirable, out of town element, the I’m sure, the great Derby Police Department, led by Chief Eugene Mascolo, is monitoring this street, very closely, with needed, extra surveillance.
