Oxford firefighters battled frigid air temperatures during their second major house fire in less than a week.
Luckily, the two people inside the home escaped without injury, but the house has been declared a total loss.
Firefighters responded to 87 Thorson Road at about 3 a.m. Tuesday (March 4) and called for help from several area fire departments.
The cause of this morning’s blaze is under investigation.

The Thorson Road fire was 1 mile from the site of last week’s fire on Scott Road.
That fire also destroyed a family’s home. The fire marshal told the Republican-American that fire originated in a vehicle inside a garage in the garage in the home, but the cause was undetermined
